ALL CHILDREN ARE ARTISTS. THE PROBLEM IS STAYING ONE WHEN YOU GROW UP.
My first graders this week are learning about Pablo Picasso! I love this lesson because the students really love looking at all his crazy paintings, and his work inspires all of the students to speak out and describe artwork. I also tell the kids what he was famous for saying: "All children are artists!" and I believe they are all encouraged to get a little wacky! Also, I love hearing them pronounce his name at the end of class. So fun! Here are some images of their wacky Picasso-inspired portraits.
